• Keno’s History

Keno was created in 200 BC by the Chinese military leader, Cheung Leung who utilized keno as a financial resource for his declining forces. The metropolis of Cheung was at war, and after a bit of time appeared to be looking at a national famine with the dramatic drop in supplies. Cheung Leung needed to develop a fast response for the economic calamity and to produce money for his army. He thusly created the game we know today as keno and it was a fantastic success.

Keno was known as the White Pigeon Game, seeing as the winning numbers were broadcast by pigeons from larger municipalities to the smaller villages. The lotto ‘Keno’ was brought to America in the 19th century by Chinese newcomers who headed to the United States to jobs. In those times, Keno used one hundred and twenty numbers.

Today, Keno is typically gambled on with just 80 numbers in most of the US based casinos as well as online casinos. Keno is commonly liked today as a consequence of the laid back nature of betting the game and the simple fact that there are no expertise needed to enjoy Keno. Despite the reality that the odds of coming away with a win are appalling, there is constantly the hope that you will win quite large with very little gambling investment.

Keno is enjoyed with 80 numbers and twenty numbers are picked each game. Players of Keno can select from 2 to ten numbers and wager on them, as much or as little as they want to. The payout of Keno is according to the bets made and the matching of numbers.

Keno grew in universal appeal in the United States near the close of the 1800’s when the Chinese characters were changed with more familiar, American numbers. Lottos weren’t covered under the legalization of gambling in Nevada State in 1931. The casinos altered the name of the ‘Chinese lottery’ to ‘horse race keno’ utilizing the concept that the numbers are horses and you are wanting your horses to come in. When the Nevada government passed a law that taxed off track gambling, Nevada casinos quickly altered the name to ‘Keno’.
