Keno has grown in acceptance in the United States since the close of the 1800’s when the Chinese letters were replaced with more familiar, US numbers. Lotteries were not covered under the laws of gambling in Nevada State in Nineteen Thirty One. The casinos adjusted the name of the ‘Chinese lotto’ to ‘horse race keno’ utilizing the notion that the numbers are horses and you want your horses to come in. When a law passed that taxed off track gambling, Nevada casinos swiftly altered the name to ‘Keno’.
