It won’t generally be looked at as the most lucrative game in the world of betting, but keno has tons of fanatical players. And why not? It’s a regularly entertaining lottery-esque game that’s simple to play, readily available in a number of different styles, and one that may yield millions for players who master its countless subtle nuances. But let’s begin with the basic facts here.

When describing keno to amateurs, some wagering experts compare it to lotto. This is at least partly correct, in that each game is essentially numerical. After you’ve marked your numbers, take your game card back to the person at the keno stand. The person will record your numbers and then give you a receipt. Don’t misplace this (potentially) lucrative bit of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers you and wants help out, without a winning slip in hand, you will win exactly $.00 for your actions.

And there you have strategy numero uno: always be sure to keep your keno slip. Let us move on to something a bit more complicated, yes?

Once you’ve selected your numbers, get into a nice keno booth and watch the action take place on the monitor. That is where the winning numbers are shown for us. If you marked winning numbers, mark your card accordingly. Sake care not to take too much time, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You want to get back to the keno stand to get your winnings, and then a new drawing will most likely get going within a few minutes.

Strategy number two: always make sure to get back to the keno stand on time!

Since you can not trust yourself to beat that 5 minute deadline each and every time, you always retain the option of purchasing a "multi-race" ticket. These include the same set of your chosen numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty slips. When the maximum amount of rounds (matching the number of tickets) is played, you may then get off your lazy back side and go collect your winnings.

Yet an additional option is recognized as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which generally allows you make number choices for thirty rounds or more. Hell, you can take vacation to Italy and not have to worry about getting back in time to redeem your winnings. Most "stray and play" slips are good for up to a whole year after it’s purchased!
