It may not usually be looked at as the sexiest game in the realm of wagering, but keno has millions of zealous fans. Why wouldn’t it? It’s a regularly thrilling lotto-type game that’s easy to pickup, abundantly available in a number of different variations, and one that might pay out mega-dollars for people who master its many subtle rules. After you have marked your numbers, carry the keno card back to the girl at the keno stand. The keno pit manager will record those numbers and then give you a receipt. Don’t lose this (potentially) lucrative bit of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your face and wants help out, without a winning receipt with you, you will be given exactly $.00 for your time spent.

And there you have strategy number one: always be sure to keep your keno slip. Let’s go on to something a little more complex, yes?

Now that you’ve checked off your numbers, settle into a comfy keno booth and see the action take place on a video monitor. That’s where the winning numbers are displayed in lights. If you have winning numbers, mark your card accordingly. Make sure not to take too much time, or sit there congratulating yourself for too great a length of time. You want to get back to the keno booth to get your winnings, as a new keno game will surely get going within five minutes.

Strategy number two: always go back to the keno booth on time!

Assuming you do not trust yourself to make that 5 minute deadline every time, you always have the option of using a "multi-race" ticket. These include the self same set of your picked numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty cards. When the maximum amount of keno games (matching the amount of tickets) is completed, you can then get off your numb rump and go redeem your winnings.

Yet another opportunity is known as a "stray and play" keno card, which usually lets you make number selection for 30 rounds or more. Golly, you can take vacation to Greece and not have to get uptight about getting back in time to collect your numbers. Most "stray and play" game cards are good for up to a whole year after purchase!

So now you have learned a couple indispensable techniques for winning keno. If you are an accomplished player, they may appear to be very obvious. However, it won’t hurt to study up on the basic methods, and if you are a beginner user, every tiny bit of direction will help make your keno betting more enjoyable.
